For this installation Shimmerwalls provided the sequin boards to cover this event and art pavilion in the UK. The entire design is designed to reflect the waterways surrounding the structure. In total over 100,000 sequins were required to cover the backing boards which were used to curve around the structure and carry on the water flowing theme. The pavilion was designed to provide a stunning and different event décor within the theme and location of the event. Our boards were populated with turquoise and a light blue/green sequin mix to reflect the colours of the surrounding canals. The structure was designed by Mark Nixon and his team at Neon for the clients British Waterways to provide a stunning focal point for this 10 day festival of music, theatre, dance and art. We used ABS boards for this project and 30mm sequins, this received a lot of positive publicity for the event and was also included in a later exhibition.
